Craft Boys ("we", "us", "our") provides deck and outdoor wood construction services in the Seattle area. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit craft-boys.com or request an estimate, how we use it, and the choices you have. Information we collect
- Contact details you give us. When you submit the estimate form, use the chat, email or call us, we receive what you choose to share — typically your name, email, phone, property address or city and a description of your project.
- Project notes. Details that help us prepare an accurate estimate: deck size, materials, photos you send us, access constraints.
- Browser and device data. Like most websites, our servers log IP address, browser type, pages viewed and timestamps — used to keep the site secure and understand which pages help visitors.
- Cookies and analytics. We use necessary cookies for site functions and, with your consent where required, analytics cookies to improve the site.
- Form entries you start but don't send. If you begin filling in a form on this site and leave without submitting it, we keep what you had typed — for example your name, phone or email — together with the page you were on and how you reached our site, so we can follow up on an inquiry that was interrupted. We never store passwords, uploaded files or payment card details this way.
How we use your information
- To respond to your inquiry and schedule a free on-site consultation.
- To prepare and send your written estimate, and to communicate during your project.
- To keep our website secure and improve its content.
- To follow up if you started an estimate request and were interrupted before sending it, and to see which parts of our forms are confusing so we can fix them.
What we don't do
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with third parties except service providers that help us run the website and email (bound by confidentiality), or when the law requires it.
Retention
We keep project records for as long as we have an active relationship with you and as needed for warranty and legal purposes, then delete or anonymize them.
Entries from forms that were started but never sent are kept for 90 days and then deleted automatically.
Your choices
- You can ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it — email craftboyswa@gmail.com.
- You can opt out of any marketing email with one click; transactional messages about your active project still reach you.
- If you started a form and would rather we did not keep it, email us and we'll delete it — or simply clear the fields before you leave the page.
