Usually, yes — most new decks and structural changes above a certain height need a permit. We flag it during the free visit and, when a permit is required, prepare the drawings and file the paperwork as part of the job.
A typical build runs 3–4 weeks once permits are in hand, depending on size, materials and site access. Your written estimate includes a timeline, and we finish on the schedule we quote.
Cedar and hardwood look and feel natural but need sealing every few years in our rain. Composite costs more upfront and needs almost no upkeep. We bring samples and real cost-of-ownership numbers to the visit.
Yes — steep and elevated lots are our specialty. We engineer posts, footings and bracing to code so the structure is safe and solid, even on Seattle hillsides.
Our written workmanship warranty covers how the deck was built — if something we installed fails because of the build, we come back and make it right, and we include free follow-up inspections.
